I am not sure what is happening here but in the last couple of days, there have been 3 tweets, apparently from my Twitter account promoting some shitty get rich scheme. I had linked my twitter account to WordPress using a plugin and apparently it had shown up in my blog too. I found this by mistake and was shocked when I saw the tweet/post. I delete the posts from the blog immediately, but our big Brother, Google, has already cached it here:

Was wondering how this tweet had come, I go to Twitter Search and guess what I see. Pages and pages of the same spammy tweet. :-O
and of course with my username too. YOu can see from the two screenshots above how the spammy tweets are showing up for all usernames.
Now, what I am worried is, how did the tweet show up for my username as I am damn sure that I didn’t post this. Is there a generic account hack again. I guess I have to go around changing passwords again. Can Twitter look into this ASAP and do something about this shit.
I have to log in to my Google Webmaster tools now to removed the cached version of this shit from Googler servers as my blog page is still cached there. 🙁
Update: Just did a Google search for the spammy tweet and there are already around 900 results – from varous websites – similar to my case. Am wondering whether they know about this or not…
