Google Analytics – How Dumb can I be ?

I have been checking the statistics in Google Analytics  for one of my domain names for the past 6 months and noticed that almost 95% of traffic are direct traffic. But I had never bothered to find out why there is no other traffic. Today also, as usual I visited the Analytics reports for this domain and was staring at the ‘Traffic Sources’ report when something hit me in the head – The Eureka Moment (thankfully I was wearing my shorts else, my a couple of my neighbors might have fainted).

I went to my Google Webmaster tools and checked for this domain and then I see this warning.

How stupid of me. I had never checked webmaster tools for this particular site (for whatever reasons). It had never crossed my mind.

All I had to do now is to submit a reconsideration request which I did dutifully.

Google Analytics + Webmaster Tools = Identify problems with your traffic.

After a long time,  I am happy that I wrote a good post (hopefully)

Me and Secunderabad

Last week my family had come from Bangalore and spent the weekend and a couple of days more with me . We had great fun going all over Hyderabad, shopping for pearls, Sarees (of course getting trained for the future) with a mandatory visit to the Charminar and Ramoji Film City.

My sis took this amazing picture of me supporting the whole city of Secunderabad on my young shoulders. Maybe this is indication that I am ready…. BUT FOR WHAT ???

Drunk African Animals ???

This is a real video from a French documentary about Africa.
There are trees that grow in Africa which once a year produce very juicy fruits that contain a large percentage of alcohol.

Because there is a shortage of water, as soon as the fruits are ripe, animals come here to help protect themselves from the heat.

I got my first Twitter Spam…

I use Twitter a lot nowadays. Either I am sending updates like all other twitters around the world or spend a lot of time trying to follow what others are doing – going to sleep, waking up or having breakfast and so on. I have even followed by a lot of spammers who have links showing me how to get 30,000 followers in minutes. Thank God, I am sensible enough not fall for these.

However, today, for the first time, I received an email spam which I thought I will post here.
