Me and Secunderabad

Last week my family had come from Bangalore and spent the weekend and a couple of days more with me . We had great fun going all over Hyderabad, shopping for pearls, Sarees (of course getting trained for the future) with a mandatory visit to the Charminar and Ramoji Film City.

My sis took this amazing picture of me supporting the whole city of Secunderabad on my young shoulders. Maybe this is indication that I am ready…. BUT FOR WHAT ???

From Hyd. family trip

People who know me personally know that Secunderabad has a special place in my heart…

Lok Satta Party looking for volunteers

vote With the elections coming up in Andhra Pradesh from April 16th, Lok Satta party is looking for volunteers who will act as booth agents.  There is high need for volunteers.  I feel, we can make things go well and avoid many mischievous things happen during polling.  There is high need for volunteers for the regions  Begumpet, Old Bowenpally, Fatenagar, Balanagar, Moti Nagar, Moosapet & KPHB.

The essential task of a polling booth agent is to verify that the person who has come to vote is a registered voter.  You may be also required to do tasks like doing some announcements, help or resolve doubts or sit inside pooling booth and verify voter ids. A training session is likely to be conducted about the duties of the polling booth agent.

If you feel you can make a difference towards better quality of elections ,then  call to Madhav (9000123316) or Ravi (9000086868).

Letz vote for a better India and help others to vote…

I am Back…

Like the Terminator says, I am Back. Sometime during last week, I thought of changing the look of my site. I have been using the same theme for the past two years. So I thought, ‘Itz time for a change’ and change I did. After hunting for two days, picked up a theme to my liking applied it, added Google Analytics (yea, I will never forget this step) and went to sleep.

The next day, I was randomly checking my site, it was throwing an Internal Server Error. :-O

Tried hard to troubleshoot the problem for two days, restored database from an old backup – still no light at the end of the tunnel. I had to hurriedly put up a temporary landing page so that my SERPs isn’t screwed up and back to head-breaking.

Yesterday night, when I was going to sleep, I got a thought suddenly. All this happened after I changed the theme of my site. Maybe the theme is broken after all. Today morning, keeping my fingers crossed, I logged in to my WordPress account and guess what? I see a warning saying that the active is broken. whew!

Now, put up a new theme, added the Google Analytics code again (yea…) and writing this post…

For all those people who make fun of me… “I am Back”

Lessons learnt:

  • If you have a problem that you are not able to solve, sleep over it. The solution will present itself.  🙂

Our Cricket Team met Mhmd. Azharuddin…

Yes… I couldn’t believe when I saw him. It was Mohammad Azaruddin himself – in flesh and blood…

The location was St. John’s Cricket ground In Hyderabad, where our cricket team had gone to practise for the coming matches. I saw a new person standing near the club’s office door – in blue tees and a white shorts. The hunch-back shoulder looked very familiar to me… I have seen this person somewhere – but where? Then sombody in my team yells ‘Hey! It’s Azar!!!! ‘

🙂

He was in the gym for sometime and then spent nearly 15 minutes giving batting tips to some person in the nets. Yes, I did take video of him giving batting lessons. Who can forget his silky wristy shots down the leg side and back footed shots over cover/gully region. Will upload the videos once I am done with this post. Video uploaded and posted here.

In the end, Srikanth requested for a photo with him and we ended up taking a team photo. The sad part was, cos, I took the photo, I am not present in the snap.

Update1: Video uploaded.

Update2: I had spelt his name as Azaruddin. Now changed it.
